Top Ten Tuesday | Books With Fall/Autumn Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is: Ten Books With Fall/Autumn Covers/Themes – If the cover screams fall to you, or the books give off a feeling of being Fallish.

I’ll admit that I judge books by their covers on a regular basis. If it has a stunning cover, I’m more likely to buy it even if I never end up reading it, which is bad but I’m weak lol. Here are just a few book covers that just scream fall/autumn to me!

Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va?

Won’t you look at that, I’m doing another tag that I wasn’t tagged in while I still have a bunch to do that I was actually tagged in #priorities. I believe Reagan over at Peruse Project created this tag so be sure to check her video out! I stumbled upon this tag by chance and thought it looked fun so here you go!

First Lines Fridays {2}

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

September Wrap-Up

Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va?

I am so excited that September is over because it was rough in both the reading and school department. I was bombarded with exams in the latter half of the month so most of my time was spent studying and worrying about my grades. I wasn’t able to read as much as I had hoped but I still think I did a decent job. Haha. It also doesn’t help that I’m in a sort of reading funk. Soooo, I decided to make and include a TBR for October in hopes of gaining some motivation.

Top 5 Wednesday | Books I’ve Read Because of BookTube

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey and Samantha. You get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your top 5 books related to the particular topic. This weeks topic is: Books You’ve Read Because of Booktube/Blogging/etc. – Discuss the books you’ve picked up because you’ve heard of them in the online book community or platform you use.

Before I got more involved in the online book community, I got ALL of my book recommendations from BookTube. Here are just a few that left a strong impression on me, good and bad. You can guess which ones were a winner and which ones failed to impress me haha!
