Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is: Ten Hidden Gem Books in X Genre: Pick a genre and share with us some books that have gone under the radar in that genre!
As you can see from the title, I chose to do both sci-fi and fantasy. The main reason why is because I couldn’t find enough books for just one genre. I decided to do both because they are great genres on their own but also because I found a handful of books that have elements from both genres. With the exception of two books, I picked these up when I first started getting into reading so I may not feel the same way about them if I were to read them now but at the time, I loved them and definitely consider them to be hidden gems! So, without further ado, let’s see which books I chose!
Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va?
Today I have a tag for you guys called “the book aesthetics tag”. So I saw Lia, over at lost in a story, do this tag and I just knew I had to do it. If you’ve read or even just glanced at my reviews, then you know I LOVE doing aesthetics so who would I be if I didn’t do this tag?! Without further ado, here are my aesthetic making skills put to the test.

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey and Samantha. You get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your top 5 books related to the particular topic. This weeks topic is: Books from Before You Joined ________ – These are some of your favorite books from before you joined the online book community, whether that be booktube, goodreads, blogs, bookstagram, twitter, tumblr, etc.
I joined the online book community (via twitter) on October of last year and it was the best decision of my life. Not only have I met soooo many amazing people but I’ve also gotten a lot of book recommendations. I mean, what more could a person ask for?! I may have been late to the book community party but that didn’t stop me from reading some pretty fantastic books before joining!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is: Back To School Freebie – anything “back to school” related like 10 favorite books I read in school, books I think should be required reading, Required Reading For All Fantasy Fans, required reading for every college freshman, Books to Pair With Classics or Books To Complement A History Lesson, books that would be on my classroom shelf if I were a teacher, etc.
I decided to go with required reading for all fantasy fans because I feel like I’m well versed on the genre and I can definitely give some great and totally original (not really lol) recommendations. I know that there are numerous fantasy books that I still need to read so I have an idea. I’ll be splitting this topic into two parts. Part 1 will be my required reading for you guys and part 2 will be required reading for me (I guess they’re required readings for you too but just go with it pls)! So, without further ado, let’s get started with the books!

Okay so I thought I’d do weekly updates for #TheReadingQuest since it’s a month long challenge and I feel like just one huge, final wrap up would be a lot. I’m pretty happy and satisfied with how week one went. Hopefully the remaining weeks will be just as great but I start college tomorrow soooo we shall see how much reading I can do.
“They’d made me an orphan and only child, made my name sound foreign on my own tongue and useless to the ones who’d already forgotten Nacea had lived. I would make them remember, and only then would I let them die.”

This weeks topic is: Characters’ Fitness Routines You Want – This can be interpreted a bunch of different ways! Fitness comes in many different packages. This can be about characters who are super fast, strong, agile, good at dancing, good at climbing, athletes, or foodies! Whatever it means to you. This is inspired by those routines you see in magazines for actors, but with more of an open mind and less body shaming 🙂
