ARC Review | Winterglass by Benjanun Sriduangkaew

“It is beautiful at first, snow, Mother would say, until is erases and turns all you know into a copy of itself. Soon you no longer recall a time without; soon you forget warmth and buffaloes dozing by the riverbank. Soon, you remember only what it wants you to remember.”

September Wrap-Up

Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va?

I am so excited that September is over because it was rough in both the reading and school department. I wasn’t able to read as much as I had hoped but I still think I did a decent job. Haha. It also doesn’t help that I’m in a sort of reading funk. Soooo, I decided to make and include a TBR for October in hopes of gaining some motivation.

The Books I Devoured in August

Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va?

I started my sophomore year of college on the 21st so I didn’t read as much as I wanted to during the latter half of the month but that’s okay because the former half went pretty well! I managed to read 8 books, like last month, but I  managed to read 3 novellas on the very last day of August as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to read more this month but we shall see lol. Without further ado, here are the books I read in August!

ARC Review | Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller

“They’d made me an orphan and only child, made my name sound foreign on my own tongue and useless to the ones who’d already forgotten Nacea had lived. I would make them remember, and only then would I let them die.”

ARC Review | Warcross by Marie Lu

“When you refuse to ask for help, it tells others that they also shouldn’t ask for help from you. That you look down on them for needing your help. That you like feeling superior to them. It’s an insult.” {ARC, p. 292}

ARC Review | Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust

“She was blood and snow, and so she would be like the snow, like the pine needles, like the winter wind: sharp and cold and biting. Snow didn’t break or shatter, and neither would she.”
