Top Ten Tuesday | Ten Books I Struggled to Get Into But Ended Up Loving

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. I tend to get hooked on a book pretty quickly but there are some exceptions. In regards to the books mentioned below, the main reason why it took me a while to get into them was the writing. It was great and all but it’s very descriptive and at times it can get to be a bit too much for me. Without further ado, here are the books I struggled to get into but ended up loving!

Top Ten Tuesday | Hidden Gem Books in Sci-fi & Fantasy

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is: Ten Hidden Gem Books in X Genre: Pick a genre and share with us some books that have gone under the radar in that genre!

As you can see from the title, I chose to do both sci-fi and fantasy. The main reason why is because I couldn’t find enough books for just one genre. I decided to do both because they are great genres on their own but also because I found a handful of books that have elements from both genres. With the exception of two books, I picked these up when I first started getting into reading so I may not feel the same way about them if I were to read them now but at the time, I loved them and definitely consider them to be hidden gems! So, without further ado, let’s see which books I chose!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. I decided to go with required reading for all fantasy fans because I feel like I’m well versed on the genre and I can definitely give some great and totally original (not really lol) recommendations. I know that there are numerous fantasy books that I still need to read so I have an idea. I’ll be splitting this topic into two parts. Part 1 will be my required reading for you guys and part 2 will be required reading for me (I guess they’re required readings for you too but just go with it pls)! So, without further ado, let’s get started with the books!
